Falcon men's water polo played their first home match of the season against Fallbrook on September 12. With a comprehensive win for each roster, the Falcons continued their winning streak to 5 games. Junior Varsity outpaced the visitors 18-2, while Varsity controlled every period in a 22-3 match.
The TPHS senior class played together as a unit, with Santi Gonzalez '24 leading on 3 goals and 2 assists, John Hodgkinson '24 adding a goal, Waylon Hollingsworth '24 put up an assist, and Oren Diamond '24 contributed a steal on defense. In the earlier contest, RB held TP in check for a final score of 11-15. In the second frame, however, the Falcons had solutions for the Bronco squad and were able to erase a one-goal deficit at half to take a three-goal lead in the third quarter. But the Broncos weren't done, and pulled back into parity before outpacing the Falcons by one at the final whistle 14-15. Torrey Pines swept the hosts, who provided a great atmosphere for the game at their home facility. Junior Varsity collected a win with a 9-2 victory, while Varsity's full team contributed to a 21-12 win.

The boys lone defeat was to host Long Beach Wilson converted a penalty with one second to play to deliver the knockout blow.
Undaunted, the Falcons battled back to dispatch three teams in succession: Buena (Ventura) in Friday's late game, followed by Beckman HS and Irvine HS (both Irvine). The Falcon varsity team came away with a +8 goal difference after winning their three games by three goals each.
